To get a job as an LPN travel nurse you will want to register your name with more than one LPN travel nurse agencies. The reason is if one can't find you a job the other will. Alternatively, you can decide which city you want to visit next. Because you know the length of your job assignment you can start looking before that one expires.

Being a travel nurse have many perks and your salary is going to be more than a regular LPN, who works in a hospital or office settings. You can be on the cruise ship, traveling companion for elder couples or to go to some other exotic destinations.

There are some draw backs as well. Your life will be constantly on the go. You will not be able to stay in one place for very long.

However, you get to choose where you want to work. This contract you may want to be in New York and the next contract you may want to be in Hawaii etc. Each assignment can last 3 or more months. It's all depended on the kind of contract your agency can secure for the job.
